Back to business. As Barbara quite rightly pointed out, James Sutton will make a brief return to the Oaks set this week, reprising his role as John Paul McQueen for what is said to be a major plot development involving the McQueen family.

We’re thrilled James decided to come back for the episodes. It’s like a McQueen family reunion on set but under very different circumstances - John Paul’s presence is simply the icing on the cake. The cast and crew are currently filming on location for a number of huge episodes and we’re sure that the storyline’s twists and consequences will definitely come as a shock to viewers.
Sutton announced he was leaving Hollyoaks in June after two years on the programme, revealing he was looking for new projects.
Having left in September, John Paul will return briefly in October.
